Nico began his photographic career by studying in Munich at the "Bayerischen
Staatslehranstalt für Fotografie". He strengthened his education further in
assisting such respected photographers as Uwe Düttmann, Christian von
Alvensleben and Hans Hansen.

In 1990 he established his own studio in Hamburg through largely
editorial assignments from magazines such as Reisemagazine, TEMPO,
Übermorgen and Zeitmagazin to name just a few.

His work swiftly attracted attention from the advertising industry and there
followed projects for the brands Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Lucky
Strike, KPM, Sparkasse, Post, etcetera.

It was over this period that Nico chose to specialise in automotive
photography. To this end, he envisioned and built a daylight studio in western
Spain in 2002 - www.estudio-plataforma.com - which is to this day the source
of some of his most unique and trend setting work. His images have received
accolades from New York Festival, ADC Germany and BFF.

Nico lives in Hamburg and works on both national and international
assignments on a broad spectrum of brands.
